About the Recipe

Onion reduces inflammation. Research suggest a link between inflammation and mental illness. Inflammation is responsible for a lot of our modern ailments. Onions can reduce blood sugar in people with diabetes and may also lower blood pressure.

Onions contains a plant pigment called Quercetin.

Quercetin has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects which might help reduce inflammation, kill cancer cells, control blood sugar, and help prevent heart disease.

Quercetin for Rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
“Research shows that taking quercetin reduces pain and stiffness in women with RA. But it doesn't seem to reduce the number of swollen or tender joints.”


Caution

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Onion

  • 1/2 cup of raw unfiltered Honey

Preparation

Step 1


Chop 1 whole onion



Step 2


Place chopped onion in a 1 quart mason jar.


Step 3


Pour in 1/2 cup of raw unfiltered honey.



Step 4


Tightly screw on the lid and shake the contents.


Step 5


Tightly screw on the lid and shake the contents.


Step 6


Store in a cool dry place for 24 hours.


Step 7


Strain the honey and discard the onion.


Step 8


This mixture may be kept indefinately. Take 1 Tablespoon as needed.
