About the Recipe
1 ounce dried hibiscus leaves
1 quart hot water
3 inch piece of ginger
1/2 Teaspoon Pimento Seeds (allspice)
Bring water to a boil. In the meantime peel and grate the ginger.
Add the ginger and allspice to the boiling water, and lower the heat to a simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and add the Hibiscus leaves.
Let steep for 15 to 20 minutes.
Enjoy hot or cold.
