Hibiscus Tea

About the Recipe


  • 1 ounce dried hibiscus leaves

  • 1 quart hot water

  • 3 inch piece of ginger

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pimento Seeds (allspice)


Step 1

Bring water to a boil. In the meantime peel and grate the ginger.

Step 2

Add the ginger and allspice to the boiling water, and lower the heat to a simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and add the Hibiscus leaves.

Step 3

Let steep for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 4

Enjoy hot or cold.
