Ginger Garlic Tea

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Quart filtered water

  • 3 inch piece of Ginger root

  • 1 bulb of Garlic

  • 1 Lime

  • Honey to sweeten to taste

Preparation

Step 1


Scrape the ginger with a spoon to remove the outer skin. Chop and add to cold water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to a simmer for 15 minutes.



Step 2


Peel and add the garlic to the saucepan. Keep the inner papery skins to toss into the tea. Continue to simmer for another 5 minutes.



Step 3


Allow to cool slightly and strain into a cup. Add sliced limes and honey,



Step 4


Enjoy hot, or cold.
