Faith and Mental Illness from a Christian Perspective.

About Us.

About Qinnamon

We believe in an holistic approach to health. Mind, body, and spirit are linked. How you feel is linked to your health. Qinnamon offers Mental Health content with a Christ centered focus. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:2 (KJV).

My Story.

After many hospitalizations, I realized a need for conversations on Faith and Mental Illness. So, in 2005 I began my advocacy for mental health and faith within churches and community groups after a mental health crisis in 2002. What a catalyst it was of advocacy for me to author The Song in the Silence!

Telling my story of trauma while grasping on to my faith seemed to galvanize others to tell their story and find their voice. Advocacy helped me recover and gave me a voice and context to appeal to others to embrace their Christian faith in recovery.
